Freelance Opportunity – OpenVPN On-Premise Deployment

We are looking for an experienced Linux system and network security freelancer capable of deploying a secure OpenVPN infrastructure and producing high-quality technical documentation.
Compensation: 75,000 FCFA to 175,000 FCFA

Mission:
The freelancer will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
Architecture and Deployment:
- Install and configure the OpenVPN server on the client’s Linux infrastructure (Debian/CentOS)
- Integrate authentication systems such as LDAP and MFA if required
- Configure routing and firewall rules to ensure secure connectivity and network segmentation
- Propose and implement a high-availability architecture if necessary
- Create client VPN profiles (.ovpn) and define distribution procedures
Documentation Deliverables:
- Operational infrastructure
- Technical architecture document with detailed diagrams and technical choices
- Installation and maintenance procedures for server administration
- User guide for OpenVPN client installation and connection

- Experience in Linux system administration and network security
- Strong understanding of VPN technologies, especially OpenVPN
- Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, routing, and firewall tools
- Experience with LDAP, Active Directory, or SSO authentication systems
- Strong Linux command-line and Shell scripting skills
- Good knowledge of Docker containerization technologies
- Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation
- Strong learning and adaptation abilities
